This resource was reviewed by Virginia faculty for the VCCS.ENG.246 course. It was considered superior in the quality of explanation of the subject matter, strong in comprehensiveness, and limited in cultural relevance for this course. Faculty may want to incorporate additional diverse readings, especially women's literature, and they may want to reintegrate diverse readings into the rest of the curricula, rather than set them "outside" the rest of the history.
