Feeling like you're making no progress at all can be rather depressing. It feels like you're not making any progress towards your goals when you're languishing. Taking action is one approach to get out of this rut. A self-improvement plan can be a powerful source of inspiration and strength.
Sometimes, though, there's good reason, self-improvement takes a poor rap. The urge to better ourselves has given rise to a whole industry rife with ineffective shortcuts that might make you feel much worse. Alternatively, things that make you feel nice but don't actually benefit you.
By making an effort to better yourself, you can enhance not just your own health but also the quality of your relationships with loved ones and coworkers.
