This project will develop a new Open Textbook for the course by adapting existing Open Educational Resources. The textbook will reduce costs for all students, resulting in substantial student savings each semester and making the course more accessible. It will provide full coverage of each of the four subfields, biological anthropology, archaeological anthropology, cultural anthropology, and linguistic anthropology. It will also be developed to achieve diversity, equity, and inclusion objectives surrounding the authors, perspectives, and case-studies included, to better represent where anthropology is as a discipline, and to more fully communicate to all students that they have a place within anthropology.
